Set off to discover preserved landscapes along our hiking trails and walks, amidst nature, dunes, and marshes.
On the Hennuin Islet
The plant richness of the Hennuin islet, now the “Chico Mendès” Nature area, with its undergrowth, thickets, and embankments, makes it an ideal site for orienteering. Several courses adapted to each level of practice are available: children, families, sports enthusiasts, and experienced orienteers.
It is an outdoor activity, very fun, accessible to everyone, which can be practiced with family, friends, or individually.
The Hennuin islet is a “nature” site surrounded by water… Access to the various courses is free but under the responsibility of the participants; minors must be accompanied and under the responsibility of an adult.
Use your sense of direction, with or without a compass, to find markers using a map (wooden stakes fixed in the ground or small beacons attached to a tree, equipped with a red clip and a number).
A detailed map (see reverse) indicates the location of the hidden beacons on the islet with numbered red circles; use the legend to help you and set off to find them.
As soon as you have found a beacon, punch your map in the space provided. Once you have all the punches for your course… you win!
