Permanent Exhibition:
Living with Water!
One nature, one people, one territory… The Platier d’Oye, a jewel of nature and a haven of rest for migratory birds, was born on the polder of the Aa delta. Through a brand new exhibition, discover the history, functioning, and challenges of an extraordinary territory, where humans and nature have learned and continue to learn to live with water.
What is a polder? How was it formed? What are the Wateringues used for? Why a Nature Reserve here? Which birds can be observed? How are dunes formed? What is the sea line (wrack line)? You will find answers to all these questions by visiting this permanent exhibition with your family, starting this summer, at the House of Platier d’Oye.
Exhibition proposed by the CCRA and OTCI, created by Côte Nord in close collaboration with Eden 62, the Nature Guides, the AGUR, and the Intercommunal Institution of Wateringues.
