The Atlantic Wall
On the beach or a little behind, there are still many vestiges of the defenses built by German troops during the Second World War.
The main bunker was actually the artillery observatory today called "Leaning Tower". It is so named because at liberation the charge of explosive supposed to destroy it was insufficient for the bed!
